Litha Cross Stitch Kit

Litha Cross Stitch Kit.  This beautiful cross stitch design is part of Crafting the Wheel of the Year Book, written by our Founder Claire Gelder and Deb Bowen.  Litha is celebrated on the summer solstice which is the day with the longest amount of sunlight in the year.

Litha is celebrated in the Northern hemisphere around 21st June and Southern hemisphere December 21st. 

Litha pronounced 'leetha', is one of the eight seasons in the Wheel of the Year.  Litha is also know as midsummer.  From this day forth until Yule, the amount of sunlight each day decreases.  On this longest day of the year it is time for play and joy and time to honour the elemental kingdom. 

This project offers you the opportunity to focus deeply on the task before your eyes.  As you work, give yourself the gift of being quietly reflective.

With the rhythm of the needle and pulling of the thread, you could set intentions for what you would like to manifest in your life and goals you would like to set.
